Architecture
Who Owes What Data?
- When you share anything online – whether it’s through text, voice, images or video – the question of who actually owns that content comes up.
- We temporarily (approximately 10 days) store user data on our Gateway to enable conversations between users and businesses. When that dialog is complete, the Gateway linkage and all associated data is deleted, forever.
Our Data Ownership Policy Is Simple
Data that users enter:
- The data that users enter on their devices – whether it’s text, voice, images or video – remain their property and are securely held in a personal library that can be accessed across devices.
- Users maintain that personal library, deleting data as they wish – you own it, period.
- In short, as a user you own your data,
- We do not share your data with others.
Data that you share with businesses
- When users choose to share data with businesses, those businesses also gain ownership of those pieces of users data – that users consented to share (give away for free) with them.
- We can not control how they use it.
- Of course, the same is true with social media and other sites accepting voluntary data inputs.
