Architecture

Privacy & Compliance

  • Privacy is our solemn goal in all aspects of what we do; compliance is the framework meeting obligations. We adhere to and predict future compliant requirements without losing our earnest respect of privacy.  Our strong privacy approach ensures you’re also compliant.

  • Individual user data is stored on the user device. It contains communications sent and received. Our default is to send communications anonymously such that privacy is maintained. The individual has the option to share name, address and phone contacts, but we encourage that to be done outside of our platform.
  • Our policy is that communications received by the business, become owned by the business. Our subscription agreement state our policies of misuse.

Compliance Examples

  • The GDPR (Data Protection Regulation – EU/EEA) legislation prohibits any company processing data from EU residents, regardless of where the company is based, among other restrictions.
  • CCPA / CPRA (California Consumer Privacy Act) establishes company rules for handling personal data and allowing people to opt out of data sales and request data deletion.
  • HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) requires secure data handling among other points.

Compliance Management

  • Compliance is the discipline of meeting legal and regulatory obligations. This includes adhering to standards like the above GDPR, etc. – while also meeting contractual obligations with businesses and partners whom also demand not only legal conformity but proof of enforcement through automated safeguards.

The landscape of compliance is shifting rapidly. What was considered good practice five years ago may now be a violation. Countries are tightening controls, industries are layering on sector-specific rules, and enforcement bodies are becoming more aggressive with fines and public penalties.

  • Our platform is designed to meet challenges to and into the future. We give users direct data control while providing business options, based on country, location and industry.

Privacy

  • Users give up the right to privacy when they share their communications. Users are also responsible for securing their own data on the device, for which we offer multiple options for doing so. The business data users receive does not have privacy restriction, only that users use such data business data in compliant with local laws.

  • Business give up their right to privacy when they share their communications with users. Business are expected to be respectful of user data, but are not obligated to keep it private, while staying compliant with local laws.
